There’s a lot of good stuff coming out this week like Ultimate Spider-Man #2, but neither of us picked that because it’s four dollars for 20 pages, and that’s ridiculous. We did, however, pick everything from All-Star Western to Rachel Rising, so if you’d like to see why we picked those and what else we picked, the you should continue to read this story. There are titles hitting stores this week like the Comics of Doom-approved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Bionic Man, as well as the latest installments of Daredevil and Invincible. But as great as all of those books are bound to be, they didn’t make it to The GoD List. So then, what did? Well let me give you some hints, two are DC “New 52” titles picked by MK2FAC3, one of which is written by Jill Thompson’s husband. Another comic is a comic based on a movie that’s based on other movies that were based on a television series, while one is B.P.R.D.. And the last book is a go-to “Classic McDavid” pick. I want to throw out that a lot of great DC books are coming out this week and I chose one, and Chris chose another. But it’s worth noting that I am really looking forward to Batwoman and Demon Knights, as well. We’re making a real attempt here to put a spotlight on a lot of either the lesser known, lower selling books from publisher, or straight up creator owned works. We’re all excited about this gigantic DC Relaunch, whether we love them or not, it’s exciting. But it’s extremely important for all of you to know that there are other books out there that could really use the attention, so if you’ve never listened to us before, please do so here. It’s a great time for comics, and it’s time for everybody to expand their horizons.

Who knows what’s going on, but I think the comic book industry has a strong cruiserweight division, so hopefully some of those books will show up in the heavyweight title picture, because they ultimately will deserve a long term title run. Oh wait, we’re talking about comics… sorry! I get confused! Anyway, this week we see Kirby: Genesis, one of my favorite new books of the year, the returns of Atomic Robo and Casanova, and the first full week of new DC books including Action Comics, Men of War, Swamp Thing, Animal Man, Stormwatch, lions, and tigers, and bears, OH MY! This week promises to be a good one, so grab my hand on join me as we travel down the four color brick road to the land of comics!

Oh, you expected us to talk about Justice League or Flashpoint? Get real! This feature is about comics that we are looking forward to the most, and the last time I checked, we’re way more interested in indie comics.
