Emily VanCamp

Captain America: Civil War is starting to look like Avengers 2.5. The cast is stacked with various Marvel Cinematic Universe alums ranging from those introduced in Phase 1 like Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Sebastian Stan, to those introduced in Phase 2 like Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, and Elizabeth Olsen. Chadwick Boseman joins the cast as Black Panther, with Daniel Brühl playing Baron Zemo, and Martin Freeman as an unidentified character. Spider-Man will also make his debut, but has yet to be cast.

Now a new report says that Emily VanCamp will also be in the film. She will reprise her role as Agent 13 aka Sharon Carter the niece of Peggy Carter – although Captain America has yet to discover her lineage.

Since this is Civil War, and VanCamp’s return confirms Agent 13 has a role in the film, does this mean what we think it means? More below.

Avengers: infinity War

Marvel Studios’ Avengers plan was ambitious, but it was a gamble that paid off, and come 2018 and 2019, it will all come together for the two-part film Avengers: Infinity War. The film is said to bring all the heroes of the solo features, and probably Guardians of the Galaxy and maybe the television shows for one mega-ensemble fight against Thanos, The Mad Titan.

Since Avengers: Infinity War is being split into two parts, production is going to be one massive undertaking, with the logistics of getting everyone’s schedules coordinated not only during scheduled shooting but also for re-shoots and the inevitable ADR.

Now Captain America himself is confirming that the shooting on the two films will be lengthy. According to Chris Evans, filming both parts of Avengers: Infinity War could take as long as nine months to complete.

We are still more than a year away from seeing Captain America 3, although we will see the titular character fight alongside his fellow Avengers in Avengers: Age Of Ultron next May. How the latter film will affect the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is unknown at this time, but if we were to base everything off what we saw in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we’d have to say that Steve Rodgers (Chris Evans) and Sam Wilson aka the Falcon (Anthony Mackie) would be continuing to search for Bucky Barnes’ (Sebastian Stan) whereabouts.

The Russo Brothers have signed on to direct the film’s sequel, and talked to Yahoo! Movies about what we can expect to see in it, revealing that the third Cap film will take place “a couple years” after its predecessor, The Winter Soldier.
