There are no successful superhero film franchises under one roof like the ones over at Marvel Studios. Time and time again the studio has repeated its success, risen to beat expectations, and even found ways to reinvent itself to keep their respective franchises fresh and engaging. These sequels are no longer sequels, they are political thrillers, fantasy adventures, buddy cops comedies, heist capers, space operas, and much more to come.
Now the studio will christen Phase 3 of the MCU with a bold new storytelling direction. Starting off with Captain America: Civil War, where our heroes and their beliefs come into conflict as Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) will engage in an ideological battle that will determine the fate of the Avengers.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Won’t Be A Traditional Two-Part Film
There has been a common theme for studios to turn the end of a film franchise into a two-part finale. Traditionally these two parters have the first half act as some sort of prologue with the final half being an explosive action-packed film.
However, Anthony and Joe Russo will be taking a different approach to Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Part II. Instead of the substandard film split into two parts, it seems as though they the two films won’t have much of anything to do with each other. Check out what they had to say below.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ Featurette Details Rift Between Cap and Iron Man
As its title suggests Captain America: Civil War will center on the infighting between two of the greatest Avengers: Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). It will still be a film that focuses mainly on its titular hero, while also marking the first time that a hero like Iron Man will appear in a role bigger than a cameo. With the world recovering from the events of Ultron’s attack on the Earth, Sokovia Accords was created in order to regulate the deployment of enhanced individuals, particularly the Avengers, orchestrated by world governments.
We saw a little bit of that in action in the first trailer for the film, and now a new featurette that can be seen in the Phase 2 Box Set helps explain how it all led up to Civil War in greater detail, and how the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest hero will play the role of the “monarch.” Check it out below.

‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot With Channing Tatum, Chris Pratt May Still Happen
Production for Paul Feig‘s Ghostbusters is already in full swing, but any hopes of the male Ghostbusters film has nearly dissipated. Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt were both attached to the project, and with rumors of Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America Civil War) directing using a script written by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), it seemed that the reboot was going to become a reality. Then came word that the project wasn’t going to happen. Tatum’s producing partner said “we’re not doing that any more,” while Pratt said the rumor was “complete BS.” Plus the Russo brothers have their hands full with directing both parts of Avengers: Infinity War.
It may have looked like the Ghostbusters spinoff was going to hit a development stall, but Pearce has come out saying that the film may still happen. More on the story below.
