| ‘Mortal Kombat’ Film Casts Scorpion, Sonya Blade, Shang Tsung, and Kano
The new film adaptation of the popular fighting game series Mortal Kombat will be adding even more characters to its roster. Following the castings of Joe Taslim (The Raid) as cryomancer ninja Sub-Zero, Ludi Lin (Black Mirror) as the Shaolin warrior Liu Kang, Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl) as the steel-armed Jax, Tadanobu Asano (Thor: Ragnarok) as the thunder god Raiden, and Sisi Stringer as the deadly Mileena, comes some new players. According to new reports, Chin Han (The Dark Knight), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine, Avengers: Endgame), Jessica McNamee (The Meg), Josh Lawson (Superstore), and Lewis Tan (Deadpool 2) will all be playing fighters who join the deadly tournament. But that hasn’t happened for Paul Blart: Mall Cop for a few years. Until now. That’s right we are getting Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Kevin James will return to reprise his role as the titular bumbling mall security guard, as well as pen the script. Steve Carr, the director of the first one, will not be back, but it didn’t take too long for a director to be named after the sequel was announced. THR reports that Parental Guidance director Andy Fickman will helm the film with Todd Garner acting as producer. James will also produce.
