| Michael Keaton Becomes Early Contender For ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Villain Role
Last night at CinemaCon it was confirmed that the upcoming Spider-Man reboot being produced by Sony Pictures in conjunction with Marvel Studios would indeed be titled Spider-Man: Homecoming as previously suggested. Now it appears that the production is close to adding another high-profile actor to the cast. Justin Kroll at Variety is reporting that none other than Michael Keaton is in early talks to play the film’s mystery villain, which could possibly turn out to be the winged supercriminal the Vulture if the rumors are true.

| ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Title Confirmed
It’s been a little over a year since the impossible happened. Marvel fans couldn’t believe that Sony and Marvel Studios inked a deal that would allow them to share Spider-Man. The Webslinger makes his Marvel cinematic debut in Captain America: Civil War, which will then be followed by his own solo film that is said to have a John Hughes-vibe seeing that it would center on Parker balancing his time as a high school student and a superhero. Soon, Sony would register a domain name that would be a reflection of that idea. Now, during their panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Nevada, the studio has officially confirmed that the title of the Spider-Man reboot will be Spider-Man: Homecoming. More on the story below.

| Spider-Man Reboot May Have Vulture As A Villain; Marvel Studios Will Be Creative Producers
With Spider-Man set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios can finally turn its attention to shaping the Webslinger into the hero that fans have been longing for. For those who have already seen the film, including myself, Tom Holland has demonstrated why he is the perfect man for the role. Since Sony has decided to share the character with Marvel, fans have been interested in seeing what will become of the character and what his place will be in the MCU despite a majority of the film rights being under Sony’s ownership. Now there is a bit of news that reveals what Marvel’s role is in cultivating the character and who the villain may be in the reboot – which is rumored to be titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. | ‘Spider-Man’ Reboot Will Feature Appearances From Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters
In less than a month, the Marvel Cinematic Universe adds one of the most iconic superheroes in history to its roster when Spider-Man, played by British actor Tom Holland, makes his first MCU appearance in Captain America: Civil War. Then he’ll be getting his own big-screen reboot, directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) produced by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, which might be called Spider-Man: Homecoming if recently leaked developments are to be trusted. There have been murmurings since Sony and Marvel made their deal last year to co-produce a new Spider-Man movie that other characters from the MCU could show up in the reboot, possibly including Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark/Iron Man. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige pretty much confirmed that this will happen without revealing which characters would appear:

| Spider-Man Reboot Title May Have Been Revealed On Accident By Sony
Sony’s plans to share Spider-Man with Marvel were revealed during the studio’s hacking scandal. It would soon be confirmed that there was such a deal in place, and that the Webslinger would make his official MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War. We then found out that Tom Holland would be taking on the role of Spider-Man for Civil War and future solo films, and that Jon Watts would direct the first solo movie. Still, we know very little about the reboot other than who’s starring in it and who’s directing. However, it looks as though Sony may have accidentally revealed the title to the new Spider-Man reboot. Check out what the title could be below.
