| SDCC 2015: ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Panel
While the Deadpool portion of Fox’s panel might have blown the roof off of San Diego Comic-Con 2015’s Hall H, it was X-Men: Apocalypse that brought the biggest lineup of stars. | ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ Crossover Movie Could Be Coming In 2018
In March 2014, 20th Century Fox carved out release dates for several of their upcoming movies, including a July 13, 2018 slot for an untitled feature based one of their valuable Marvel Comics properties. Since the studio thought nothing of revealing their release plans for X-Men: Apocalypse, the third and final Wolverine solo movie starring Hugh Jackman (which is rumored to be an adaptation of the “Old Man Logan” miniseries), and the sequel to August’s Fantastic Four reboot, people started to wonder if this mysterious Marvel flick was the long-gestating X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover event that was first hinted at almost two years ago. | Rumor: The Next ‘Wolverine’ Movie Could Be Based On The “Old Man Logan” Miniseries
If a rumor that was recently brought to life by Latino Review’s Umberto Gonzales – a.k.a. “El Mayimbe” – on last week’s episode of the YouTube show Marvel Movie News is to be believed, the next solo silver screen adventure of Wolverine could take the adamantium-clawed mutant superhero several decades into the future. Check out the video below to hear Gonzales discuss the rumor. The Wolverine portion begins at 39:15.

It’s been announced that a new spinoff of the franchise is on the way titled The New Mutants, and just as it sounds, the movie will introduce a whole new lineup of mutant characters. Fox has also hired a someone to make the movie, bringing in The Fault in Our Stars and Stuck in Love director Josh Boone to helm the project. Boone will also pen the screenplay along with Knate Gwaltney, with Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner producing.
