Joe Dirt 2 is full steam ahead, and star David Spade has posted an image of himself back in full Joe Dirt costume to prove it. It was back in early May that Spade was doing an AMA on Reddit, where he was asked multiple questions regarding a Dirt sequel. At the time it was being developed, with the possibility of becoming the first sequel to a major motion picture to premiere digitally on the free streaming service Crackle, which is owned by Joe Dirt studio Sony. This was later confirmed, and it was all systems go. You can read more and check out the new image of Spade as Dirt below.

| Massive Metal Monday: “Wheels Of Steel” By Saxon
Saxon were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), a movement that breathed new life into the genre in the early ’80s. The success of bands such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden would set the stage for the worldwide explosion of metal’s popularity in the mid-eighties. Saxon never experienced quite the same level of mainstream success in America that many of their contemporaries found, but none the less their contribution to the movement is immeasurable. The band soldiers on to this day and is still a favorite with hardcore metal fans the world over. Here below is Saxon performing the title track of their second album, 1980’s Wheels of Steel.

There are residual effects to the whole precinct turning their backs on Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), including the Captain (Zabryna Guevara). Jim doesn’t think he needs them. Bullock (Donal Logue) is of a different mind, when Jim goes missing after investigating a “fight club” competition for a finance job. Bullock makes an impassioned speech on Jim’s behalf. He IS the best character on the show. Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) goes and makes nice with Fish (Jada Pinkett Smith) who promptly stabs his hand with his gift to her. He re-gifts to his mommy who warns, “Everyone has secrets.” The ending of the episode was really enjoyable, albeit expected. And c’mon Barbara (Erin Richards)! Give the guy a break!

| ‘Futurama’ Cosplay: Awesome (and Slightly Creepy) Real-Life Professor Farnsworth
Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth from Futurama is not exactly the most popular character for all of those cosplayers out there to attend conventions as. But of all of those who have dressed up as the (sometimes a bit nutty) professor, this is likely the best you’ll find…with a little help from a talented makeup artist, that is. Frank Ippolito is a makeup and effects artist best known as a contestant on the first and fifth seasons of Syfy’s reality competition Face Off, and he’s also worked on movies like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and The Chronicles of Riddick. He’s also a Futurama fan. Ippolito joined up with the folks over at Tested to make the ultimate real-life version of Professor Farnsworth, and you can see what he came up with in the video below.
