Marvel debuted the teaser trailer for their upcoming original Netflix series Luke Cage at San Diego Comic-Con this evening, where they also unveiled a teaser video for their crossover miniseries The Defenders.
Watch the teaser trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders here below.
The teaser is set to the isolated vocals of Kurt Cobain on Nirvana’s “Come As You Are,” and while the video doesn’t contain any footage from the series, it does have teaser images and voiceover.
The Defenders, which will be released in 2017, will bring together the four heroes of Marvel’s Netflix universe — Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, all of whom have their own solo shows on the streaming network (Luke Cage launches on September 30, 2016, with Iron Fist coming in 2017.) Charlie Cox is Daredevil, Jessica Jones is Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter is Luke Cage, and Finn Jones is Iron Fist, with Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez being the showrunners for the series.
The voiceover in the video, which sounds like it’s Scott Glenn’s Stick (from Daredevil), says “You think the four of you can save New York? You can’t even save yourselves.”
Marvel’s The Defenders will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, as they face their biggest threat yet.
