Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War

It’s hard to believe that Marvel Studios has gotten to the point where they’ve released 18 films. Within that stretch, there were more than a handful of ensembles, and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War is a culmination of everything the studio has worked so hard to achieve. As many of us know, all good things must come to an end. Sadly, the film will mark the end for many of the actors since a lot of their contracts are done. But that won’t stop them from enjoying their final moments.

Marvel Studios has released a few new videos that celebrate everything that they have accomplished so far with the help of their fans and another that focuses on the familial bonds that were forged throughout the ten years. Check it all out below.

Obviously, we are going to see a lot more of these videos as we get closer to the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Depending on its purpose, we may or may not see some cool new footage. For the fan video, we got to see how the cast and crew have celebrated with their loyal fans – many of whom waited long hours in the lines of SDCC’s Hall H just to get a glimpse of their favorite hero. Other times they are at other fan events or movie premieres. But whatever their poison is, their loyalty is unwavering, and they prefer to say “make mine Marvel.”

With the Marvel Studios family video, we get to see how the cast and crew have become, well, family. With the exception of a few, these cast members have been together for standalone trilogies, ensemble films, and so much more. So it’s easy to see why they see themselves as such. Of course, there is some behind-the-scenes footage to look forward to. In the video we see Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) wearing Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) Cloak of Levitation. There’s even a mic drop scene where Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) gives the finger to an unseen villain and then falls back into one of Doctor Strange’s sling ring portals. Of course, since this is a tame video, Star-Lord flipping the bird was cut out, but you get the gist of it.

But a lot of the video is just the cast members riffing on each other saying they don’t meet their expectations. There is one moment where Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth enjoy a laugh or two. This would be the first time that we’ve seen the two together while on set. Even Danai Gurira, who plays Okoye, was gushing about how awesome it was to be able to work with Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch. It’s just funny all around.

Here’s the official premise:

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27, 2018.
