After making her debut in 2010’s Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson‘s Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow finally makes her standalone film debut in Black Widow. Taking place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, the long-awaited film sees Natasha returning home and being met with a very unfriendly welcome. However, there is much more to it than that, as her return home also marks a family reunion of sorts. While the cast was not on hand at the D23 Expo this weekend, Marvel Studios did share some interesting footage from the film. More on all of that here below.

| D23 Expo 2019: ‘Mulan’ Promises To Be A Large-Scale Live-Action Epic With A Touch Of Disney Magic |

Mulan is considered to be one of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ crown jewels and given Disney’s success with their live-action adaptations of their animated classics, it only makes sense that they look towards turning 1998’s Mulan into a live-action film. However, instead of following in the footsteps of other films that merely retell the original story, like Cinderella and Beauty and The Beast, Mulan will be depicted as a large-scale epic that sees the titular character (played by Liu Yifei) do anything to protect the family that she loves, even if it means disguising herself as a man so that her ailing father does not have to go to war. Check out our coverage of the film from this weekend’s D23 Expo here below.

Marvel Studios’ The Eternals promises to be a cosmic comic book movie of epic proportions. Of course, with a film that touts a cast of Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, Ma Dong-seok (aka Don Lee), Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, and Lia McHugh. While at the D23 Expo today, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced a few more surprising additions to the cast. Joining the aforementioned cast will be Barry Keoghan as Druig and Gemma Chan as Sersi. But the biggest surprise of them all is Kit Harington joining the cast as a non-Eternal Dane Whitman. Cast members also appear at the panel in front of concept art of them in their costumes, which you can see here below.

Although Disney will be launching Disney+ later this November, there won’t be any original Marvel Studios content readily available. However, come next year, all of their stories will coincide with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, much more so than any of the Marvel Entertainment shows have. But one of the more interesting shows that we can expect to see is What If…?, an interesting new show that will allow audiences to explore the MCU in new ways by looking at various “what if?” scenarios. Though the show is still in the early stages of development we know that it will be Marvel Studios’ first animated series, and at D23 Expo we got our first peek at it. This included a look at one of the scenarios: what if Peggy Carter got the super-soldier serum instead of Captain America, Steve Rogers? More on this below.
