Paul Thomas Anderson has been taking a small vacation after directing Phantom Thread. But now it appears that he is getting ready to get back to work. New reports confirm that his next feature will be a film set in 1970s San Fernando Valley, and will center on a high school student who is also a Hollywood actor. More on the report below.

| Prince Eric Chosen For Disney’s Live-Action Take On ‘The Little Mermaid’
Back in July it was reported that One Direction member and Dunkirk star Harry Styles was being considered for the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action take on The Little Mermaid. But ultimately Styles decided to pass up the role in order to focus on his music. Now, with the rest of the cast already set, Disney has finally chosen an actor to play Prince Eric. According to reports, Jonah Hauer-King has landed the role.

| New Clip Shows How ‘The Mandalorian’ Is ‘Star Wars’ With Western Vibes |

This is a pretty big week for Disney. The entertainment giant launched Disney+, their exclusive streaming service, nationwide yesterday. Of course, we all know how subscribers have access to nearly the entire Disney vault. But there is also some original content to look forward to. Like The Mandalorian. The highly anticipated series made its debut to coincide with the launch. And yet, if you are still not a subscriber or are not convinced to be one, maybe a clip from the series will change your mind. Pulled from the series’ first episode, the clip shows the titular character (Pedro Pascal) meet The Client (Werner Herzog), a man who is in need of his services for some unknown reason. He is also someone who has a very intimidating presence, and is guarded by a small group of Stormtroopers, who are armed to the teeth. Not that scares our anti-hero. Matt Reeves‘ The Batman has been making some big-name casting news in recent weeks with actors like Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, and Jeffrey Wright all joining Robert Pattinson, who will be playing the titular character. Then, just last week, Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis were reported to be in talks to join the upcoming film as well. Now another actor has been cast. When then Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige came to the D23 Expo to announce that She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel would be three new TV series joining the Disney+ lineup, fans got excited. However, the three new shows were still in very early development without a cast or creative crew. But now She-Hulk and Moon Knight have found writers to begin working on the projects. According to a new report, Rick and Morty writer Jessica Gao will be working on the former, while The Umbrella Academy‘s Jeremy Slater will work on the latter. More on both of these stories, below.
