It’s not easy to defend Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. The vast majority of critics have panned the film and its box office numbers continue to drop at an alarming rate. Despite the fallout, Warner Bros. remains optimistic that the DC Extended Universe will be just as successful as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know that we will get a three-hour rated-R Ultimate Edition Blu-ray in the very near future, and saw a small snippet of what was cut when a deleted scene was released by the studio. However, it looks like we won’t have to wait very long to see that cut as there are reports that say the Ultimate Edition cut could appear in theaters as early as this summer. More on the story below.

Sony’s plans to share Spider-Man with Marvel were revealed during the studio’s hacking scandal. It would soon be confirmed that there was such a deal in place, and that the Webslinger would make his official MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War. We then found out that Tom Holland would be taking on the role of Spider-Man for Civil War and future solo films, and that Jon Watts would direct the first solo movie. Still, we know very little about the reboot other than who’s starring in it and who’s directing. The first trailer for Suicide Squad was released as a reaction to the pirated versions that made its way onto the Internet. It wasn’t intended to a full public consumption. The second trailer though seemed to indicate that the film would have a lighter tone than its DCEU predecessor Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It was funny and made excellent use of a classic Queen song. It was almost as if it was a reflection of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy. So everyone who was worried that BvS was the first step into a dark and dour superhero tone breathed a sigh of relief knowing that something could, at least, alleviate the stresses of DC’s cinematic universe’s black rain cloud. However, there is a rumor that Suicide Squad has entered reshoots in order to make the film funnier. And apparently these reshoots won’t be cheap. According to a new report, they could run up to tens of millions of dollars. More on the story below.

Remember how there was a rumor that said that Hulk would be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and that the plot of the film would be based on the “Planet Hulk” story arc? Well, James Gunn repeatedly denied those rumors, which were pretty much debunked when Mark Ruffalo signed on to join Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok, the final film of the titular trilogy. In what has been described as a buddy film which would feature the two Avengers who go on a cosmic journey, there were questions on how Hulk would actually meet up with the god of thunder considering that he left the Avengers after the events of Age of Ultron. It appears that there may be an answer to that question, which leads us back to how Marvel would incorporate a “Planet Hulk” story arc into the MCU. We have to stress that the following should be considered a rumor, and we are going to treat it as such until we get something substantial from a confirmed source. Again, if you are interested in spoilers, then feel free to check out more about this rumor below.
