Hela Thor: Ragnarok

Marvel has been known to draw in some huge star power in the past. Robert Redford, Benicio Del Toro, and Michael Douglas were all unexpected names that have been a part of the MCU in Phase 2. Phase 3 will see Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Doctor Strange. We pretty much know what their roles are, but Cate Blanchett‘s role in Thor: Ragnarok has yet to be revealed.

The Oscar-winning actress joined the cast of the film just last month, but details on her character were kept under wraps. The film has been described as a buddy movie that will have the titular Thor join Hulk on a cosmic journey that will take audiences through the nine realms. But that still didn’t answer where Blanchett fits into all of this.

Well, there is a new rumor floating around that says Blanchett will play a villain in the film. But will she be a huge problem for Thor and Hulk, or does she serve a greater purpose in the MCU. Check out what the rumors have to say below.

Tales from the Crypt's Crypt Keeper

Remember yesterday when you were super excited about that Tales from the Crypt revival announcement? Me too! Well I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but that super exciting revival might not be quite as exciting as you and I both hoped it would be.

Now keep in mind, this isn’t confirmed just yet, so pull me away from this ledge before I slip and hurt my everything. But Bloody-Disgusting says an insider of theirs is telling them that the Crypt Keeper himself, that dusty old corpse with a true passion for pun work, will NOT be a part of this new revival of the show.

Rumor: Will Smith May Reprise Deadshot Role In Ben Affleck’s Batman

Will Smith Deadshot Suicide Squad header image

The DCCU is just starting to grow, and will start expanding even further with two films next year: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. The latter will also have Batman appear for a sizable role. Also appearing in that film is Will Smith in a supporting role – of all things – as DC’s top assassin, Deadshot. The character has been known to never miss, and has often crossed paths with other DC characters.

Though it is not clear how much screentime Smith will get in Suicide Squad, sharing it with an ensemble of villains, it’s likely that he won’t be the star of the film. So now it is starting to look like Smith may be more involved in the DCU beyond his role in Suicide Squad. According to a new rumor, there is a good chance that Smith may reprise his role as Deadshot in the upcoming Batman film starring Ben Affleck. More on the story below.

Captain America: Civil War Captain America Iron Man Spider-Man

Sony sharing the film rights to Spider-Man opened bold new possibilities for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By making the deal with Disney, this meant that the webslinger could play in the Marvel sandbox, and it wasn’t long until it was announced that a new Spider-Man would be introduced into the MCU in Captain America: Civil War. Tom Holland will play the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and is already prepping for his solo flick. Marisa Tomei is the only other actress confirmed for a role, she’ll play Aunt May. But as to who else could star in the film, that is still unknown.

But that isn’t stopping rumors from swirling. One of the first rumors to pop up surrounding Spidey’s upcoming solo film is that Iron Man and Captain America could make an appearance in it. Check out how this all started in the video below.

James Gunn Has No Problem Shooting Down ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Rumors

James Gunn director of Guardians of the Galaxy

If there is anyone who is just as tired about wild rumors about sequels it’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn. Of course since the film is still in very early development, and expected to start shooting early next year for a May 2017 release, rumors are flying about which characters are in it, the plot, and as of now who Star-Lord’s father is.

Some would say that Gunn is obligated to say that the rumors are false, but for the most part, he has no real reason to lie to us. Case in point, when many thought that the Hulk would be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Gunn shot that rumor down. In fact he had to do it multiple times. But it was when Mark Ruffalo signed on to be in Thor: Ragnarok that pretty much confirmed that the Hulk would not be visiting those a-holes. Gunn recently had to shoot down another rumor that Thanos was not Star-Lord’s father, but that was only because Bradley Cooper misspoke – according to Gunn, Cooper didn’t even receive the script at that time. Now another wild rumor is starting to fly, and Gunn, once again, has to shoot it down. In fact it sounds like he is getting tired of it. Check out what he had to say below.
