Rumor: Fox Considering X-Men Crossover With Marvel
space

X-Men and Avengers crossover

It took one disappointing franchise and a few leaked e-mails to find out that Sony was considering sharing Spider-Man with Marvel Studios. Though the character would remain with Sony, the eventual deal meant that the Webslinger could play in the Marvel sandbox, with a few caveats of course. But in the grand scheme of things, this would end up helping both parties as Spider-Man’s intro to the MCU turned out to be one of the best things about Captain America: Civil War, and now fans are eagerly looking forward to his next Sony movie, which will be produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige.

So now as Marvel is entering Phase Three of their cinematic universe, Fox is looking towards the future for two of their own Marvel properties. However, both have produced rather disappointing results. Last year, Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four turned out to be one of the worst films of 2015, and despite Deadpool being a hit, X-Men: Apocalypse was a critical and commercial disappointment. So just as Sony hoped to turn things around with Spider-Man, there is a new rumor that says Fox may be considering the same thing with their Marvel properties, namely, X-Men. Check out the full details on the rumor below.

Rumor: 40% Of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Will Be Reshot

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Reshoots are just a common part of the big budget filmmaking process so when word got around that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story would be going in for some reshoots, there was no reason to be worried. But as we started to learn more about the kind of troubles that plagued the film, it started to look like there needed to be some concern. According to those reports, Disney was unhappy with the first cut of the film and felt that it tonally off with what a “classic” Star Wars movie should feel like. A source said that it was the closest thing to a prequel that we will ever get, but that it was too much like a war movie.

Now it appears that these reshoots are becoming a serious issue as they are now bringing in Christopher McQuarrie to get involved in the production of the film. McQuarrie had previously done a couple of rewrites to fix some of the issues. More on the story below.

Planet Hulk

Things are progressing pretty nicely for Taika Waititi and Thor: Ragnarok. The film recently added Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge aka The Executioner. They’re joined on the cast by Cate Blanchett, who plays Hela the Asgardian Goddess of Death, and Tessa Thompson who will play Valkyrie and Thor’s love interest.

Now there are a couple of new rumors surrounding the film. Mark Ruffalo has already said that the film will be a buddy movie that sees the two heroes venturing out on a cosmic journey. How those two get into this precarious situation still isn’t clear. But one rumor is that Thor is searching for a yet to be identified MacGuffin only to get banished to a gladiator-like world where he meets Hulk, who is apparently the reigning champion.

Now there is a new rumor about the new characters that will appear in the final film of the Thor trilogy. More on the story below.

Rumor: ‘Justice League’ Villain Revealed; Maybe Someone We’ve Already Seen

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice Deleted Scene

With superhero films being a part of shared universes, it has become somewhat of staple to name drop or have some sort of Easter Egg that hints at future sequels. Now that the DCEU’s shared universe is rolling, we can expect to hear more about Justice League: Part One and possibly other films in Suicide Squad. Given that the Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition is a three-hour cut, there will probably be some scenes that fill in the plot holes left behind in the theatrical cut.

There was strong indication, based on the Knightmare scene, that Darkseid will be the main villain in Justice League. But that doesn’t appear to be the case, as a new rumor has emerged saying it will be someone else and we may have already seen him. Check out who he could be in the full story below.

With Spider-Man set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios can finally turn its attention to shaping the Webslinger into the hero that fans have been longing for. For those who have already seen the film, including myself, Tom Holland has demonstrated why he is the perfect man for the role. Since Sony has decided to share the character with Marvel, fans have been interested in seeing what will become of the character and what his place will be in the MCU despite a majority of the film rights being under Sony’s ownership.

Now there is a bit of news that reveals what Marvel’s role is in cultivating the character and who the villain may be in the reboot – which is rumored to be titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. Check out the full story below.
