| Gamescom 2019: New Gameplay and Character Trailers For Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’
To kick off Gamescom 2019 last night Geoff Keighley, the man behind the yearly Game Awards, hosted an opening night showcase. Closing out this showcase was the great Hideo Kojima, who was on hand to share some new trailers for Death Stranding, his highly anticipated first non-Metal Gear game as director since 1994’s Policenauts—not counting the P.T. demo for the Silent Hill game we’ll never get to play, sadly. Kojima shared three new character trailers for the game, found below, one of which includes new peeks at gameplay footage.

20th Century Fox has released an official trailer for Underwater, an upcoming deep sea thriller. The movie stars Kristen Stewart as a member of a team of researchers who find themselves dealing with an unknown threat seven miles below the ocean surface. Vincent Cassel, T. J. Miller, John Gallagher Jr., Jessica Henwick, Mamoudou Athie, and Gunner Wright join Stewart on the cast. Sometimes fiction can be a reflection of reality. Lately, national news anchors losing their jobs over accusations of sexual harassment have been making headlines. As such, it has become the basis for Apple TV+’s newest series The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell. In it, Carell plays Mitch Kessler, a major news anchor who has been fired off from a national broadcast morning show, leaving his co-host Alex Levy (played by Aniston) to run the show on her own. But when Bradley Jackson, a new younger news reporter (played by Witherspoon), is chosen to be a co-anchor, Alex views the new addition as someone who could take her job. Soon, it becomes a battle of egos and doing whatever it takes to protect their standing or advance in the world of morning news television. Check out the full trailer here below.

Politics can be a mean game no matter how big or small the arena. Take Netflix’s The Politician from Ryan Murphy, who dramatizes the lengths of which a very ambitious high school student (Ben Platt) goes through to run a perfect campaign to become president of the Associated Student Body. Of course, since this is a project from the man who has given us Glee, American Horror Story, and so much more, much of what we will see from the dark comedy will take place in a heightened sense of reality. However, because we know how ruthless politics can be, there is a certain degree of believability. Check out the trailer here below.
