This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly offers us our first official look at the next entry in the Terminator franchise, titled Terminator: Genisys, as well as some…interesting…story details.

The movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger in his usual T-800 role, Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as John Connor, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney (Live Free or Die Hard) as Kyle Reese, and Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as a close ally of John’s. But while the characters are mostly the same, the characters’ backgrounds are not what we’re familiar with.

Chances are you already expected it but a new interview with Jai Courtney, star of the next installment in the Terminator franchise, titled Terminator: Genisys, indicates that the movie will in all likelihood be rated PG-13.

The chat with Courtney also reveals some other information, like the movie isn’t technically a sequel or a remake, the endoskeletons are created using motion capture technology, and that the planned two sequels might be shot back-to-back in 2016.

We learned last week that the new Terminator film, hitting theaters on July 1, 2015, is titled Terminator: Genisys and will see the full-on return of star Arnold Schwarzenegger to the film franchise.

We all know a title says a lot about a film. It sets up the tone, anticipation, and it sometimes tells us something about the movie itself. But today’s title confirmation for the fifth Terminator film will have fans talking.

The film recently wrapped shooting, and to commemorate the occasion, star Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Instagram to celebrate by announcing the official title, which was once thought to be Terminator: Genesis. The actor posted a photo confirming that the movie will instead be titled Terminator: Genisys.

The theatrical release of Lionsgate’s testosterone-heavy summer action epic The Expendables 3 isn’t scheduled for another three weeks, but that hasn’t prevented the finished film from being leaked online to various torrent sites.

According to Variety the leaked copy of the Patrick Hughes-directed sequel currently in circulation was taken from a DVD screener and downloaded almost 200,000 times around the world in a 24-hour period. That number is expected to increase as the official release of the film approaches.
