| Bill Murray To Cameo In Paul Feig’s ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot
Cameos in reboots are a nice nod to the originals, but don’t happen for all films, and it nearly didn’t happen for the upcoming Ghostbusters. | SDCC 2015: Bill Murray Makes First Comic-Con Appearance (Video)
Believe it or not, the great Bill Murray, star of Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Lost in Translation, many of the works of Wes Anderson, and so much more, has never ever made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. But that all changed today. Murray took part in the panel for his latest film, Rock the Kasbah. And, as you would expect from the larger-than-life star, he made the most of his first entrance, walking right through the Hall H crowd, singing along to Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” as his Kasbah character, rock manager Richie Lanz. Keeping with the music theme, he even had the crowd join him in a 30-second singalong. But instead of singing something specific this time, he had everyone sing whatever they want. You can read some of the things Murray had to say and watch videos of some highlights from his appearance.

On Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, which, like SNL, is recorded from the studios at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, the host reminisced about the amazing night. Along with red carpet arrivals, there was also an after-party that featured some all-star jams, including one Fallon did with Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney, as well as a mind-blowing appearance by Prince. Check out the 9-minute video here below of Fallon talking about the After Party, as well as some snippets from the various jam sessions, which included Fallon, Swift, and McCartney doing The Beatles “I Saw Her Standing There” and Swift’s recent hit “Shake It Off.” There’s also Instagram video of Bill Murray playing tambourine; Prince doing “Let’s Go Crazy,” and the B-52’s doing “Love Shack.”
