Back in January the title and pilot script for AMC’s upcoming companion series to The Walking Dead were both leaked. Now, it has been made official; the title, as rumored, is Fear the Walking Dead.

Walking Dead comic book creator and TV show producer Robert Kirkman confirmed the title announcement via his Twitter account.

It has no title, but it does have a 2-season order.

AMC announced today that the buzzed-about Walking Dead Companion Series, a spin-off of The Walking Dead codenamed Cobalt, that’s set to take place in Los Angeles when the zombie apocalypse struck (back when Rick was in a peaceful little coma), will air its 6-episode first season this Summer. The second season will air in 2016, setting up zombie fun all year round.

Slowly but surely, details about AMC’s upcoming spinoff of The Walking Dead have surfaced since the television series was greenlit back in September. So far we know that the new show won’t be set in Atlanta, GA, like the main series, but rather in Los Angeles, CA. Cliff Curtis (Trauma) is the male lead, a divorced teacher who tries hard to be good to everyone in his life, while Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm) are the children of female lead Nancy Tomkins, played by Kim Dickens. Walking Dead comics creator Robert Kirkman and current The Walking Dead TV showrunner Dave Erickson are writing the series with Gale Anne Hurd and Dave Alpert on as executive producers.

But AMC has yet to reveal the official title of this spinoff, currently codenamed Cobalt, but Spoiler TV has now revealed the name.

Actress Kim Dickens has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming Walking Dead companion series, currently known by its codename Cobalt.

Dickens joins Cliff Curtis, who was announced as the male lead earlier this month, as well as Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey, who were the first to be cast.
