| Marvel Shifts Release Dates Of 4 Films After Spider-Man Deal With Sony |
 |

Well that escalated pretty quickly. Earlier today, Sony and Disney announced a deal that will allow the two to share Spider-Man. This deal would introduce a “new Spider-Man” who will first appear in a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), then get a standalone film for Sony (that will be co-produced by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige and former Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal) to be released on July 28, 2017. It is presumed that this “new Spider-Man” will first appear in Captain America: Civil War, which is set to be released on May 6, 2016, but there’s no confirmation at this time. This “reboot” likely also means the end of Andrew Garfield as the titular character, as well as the Sinister Six spinoff directed by Drew Goddard, the Venom spinoff directed by Alex Kurtzman, and the untitled all female-team spinoff. With this new development, Marvel Studios is rescheduling the release dates of four of their MCU films. Hit the jump to find out which films will get new release dates.

But everything paid off in the end, with Guardians of the Galaxy being one of the biggest hits of August, in fact it broke box office records. Now Marvel is ready to roll the dice once more with an even more unfamiliar property called The Inhumans. There have been plenty of teases that have led up to this.
