It’s not hard to believe that we’ve reached the point of a superhero ensemble in Netflix’s Marvel superhero series. Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) have all had a chance to tell their respective stories, some more than others, and now they are finally coming together to fight a common enemy. An enemy that has been looming over them since the start of Daredevil. With The Defenders is set to debut this weekend on Netflix, the streaming service has released a brand new featurette that will surely help fans and audiences get themselves hyped for the highly anticipated miniseries. For those who haven’t watched any of Netflix’s solo Marvel outings, let’s do a little roll call. There’s “The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen,” aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox). After that it’s the smart-ass detective otherwise known as Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), the righteous ex-con. Then there’s the “Hero of Harlem,” or who we know as Luke Cage (Mike Colter). Finally, there’s the kid with a glowing fist aka Iron Fist (Finn Jones). These otherwise heroes of New York City have been defending the streets from one threat or another, and now after two years of build up, the pay off is finally coming to Netflix this summer in The Defenders.

The first trailer for the Marvel superhero ensemble has finally arrived. Together with the help of some friends like Misty Knight (Simone Missick), Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), and Stick (Scott Glenn), they will protect their streets from the mysterious Hand and a new villain played by Sigourney Weaver. It’s a regular reunion for the characters of Netflix’s Marvel universe in The Defenders. In addition to the core group of Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones), many of the title heroes’ supporting team will also be in the upcoming superhero ensemble series.

Characters from Daredevil like Scott Glenn (Stick) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) will appear as well as Jessica Jones‘ Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), and Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker). Luke Cage‘s Simone Missick will reprise her role as Misty Knight. Iron Fist‘s Jessica Henwick will also appear as Colleen Wing. Finally, there’s Rosario Dawson who returns as Claire Temple, the Nick Fury of this Netflix and Marvel collaboration.

The release of Daredevil season 2 is upon us, and with just only a few more days left before all 13 episodes are released to us for our binge-watching pleasure, Netflix has released one final trailer to remind us that it is coming. We’ve seen a couple of trailers, one that focuses on The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and another focusing on Elektra (Elodie Yung).

But this newly released one centers on the different styles of action we will see from the title hero, his former lover, and the man who is seeking vengeance. Plus, there are a couple of ninjas who will get in their way. And who doesn’t love a good fight against an overwhelming number of ninjas? Check out the final trailer for Daredevil below.

Last week, Netflix released Part One of the Daredevil Season 2 trailer. The first half focused mainly on Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) aka The Punisher and his search for vengeance against those who took his family away from him. The differing ideologies of how justice should be dealt puts the titular hero and the anti-hero on opposite sides. The latter believes that Daredevil (Charlie Cox) is only “half-measure,” that he is “unable to finish the job,” and above all, he believes that The Man Without Fear is a “coward.”

Towards the end of that trailer, we were teased with the appearance of Elektra (Elodie Yung), who greets our hero from the shadows of his apartment. Now a newly released trailer reveals why she has stopped by Hell’s Kitchen, and it isn’t to exchange pleasantries. Check it out below.
