| Wonder Woman Gets All New Origin (Again)
DC Comics announced on Monday that Wonder Woman, one of their top characters, was getting an all new origin. Aw yeah, origins! People love big deals. And one of the biggest deals in comics over the past few years is the DC Relaunch. And rightly so. I mean, it’s one of the biggest comic book companies in the industry sort of erasing their entire history to start over. I say sort of because they didn’t make a real cut, they picked and chose what to relaunch and what to keep. But still, it’s a safe way to appeal to any new reader that the products could appeal. Except for Legion Lost and Legion of Super Heroes, because their number one issues certainly weren’t good places to start.

| The GoD List: Comics For September 21, 2011 |
 |

Each and every week “Hey, How Ya Doin’?” Henchman21 and “Mustard Head” MK2FAC3 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible… theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of September 21, 2011. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. This week boasts a load of titles that fit all sorts of niches for all comic book fans. There are titles hitting stores this week like the Comics of Doom-approved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Bionic Man, as well as the latest installments of Daredevil and Invincible. But as great as all of those books are bound to be, they didn’t make it to The GoD List. So then, what did? Well let me give you some hints, two are DC “New 52” titles picked by MK2FAC3, one of which is written by Jill Thompson’s husband. Another comic is a comic based on a movie that’s based on other movies that were based on a television series, while one is B.P.R.D.. And the last book is a go-to “Classic McDavid” pick. Continue on to see just why we picked these books.

| DC Relaunch: New DC Comics (Week Four)
As most of you may know by now, DC Comics is relaunching their entire line of comic books this Fall alongside a day and date digital comics initiative. What you might not know, however, is that it all started three weeks ago with the releases of the last issue of DC’s summer event Flashpoint, and the beginning of the new universe with Justice League #1. This Wednesday is the third big week of releases and I’m picking up a lot of these books, and there are still a lot of books to look forward to in these upcoming weeks, as well as plenty that you and I will probably want to stay away from for varying reasons. So, in the order of kindness and assignments from my editor, I will be breaking down each title with their creators, what they’re about, and what you can expect from each of the new books. And, guess what? I’m not in love with a lot of the decisions that they’ve made, so this should be fun!

| NBC Does Us All A Favor, Kills Off ‘Wonder Woman’ Before It Even Starts
NBC has been known for producing some pretty unwatchable shows in the past — the later seasons of Heroes and The Cape jump to mind — but even they see things for what they are before it’s too late on occasion. It’s being reported that NBC has chosen to pass up on the Wonder Woman TV series they once saved from death. After many attempts to make the heroine into a movie, Warner Brothers decided to try the TV format. At one point it looked like no one would even touch the show, which was being developed by David E. Kelley, but then rose NBC, out of the shadows to pay some major coin to give Wonder Woman her shot.
