| Mr. Sinister Confirmed As The Villain In ‘Wolverine 3’
The X-Men: First Class films and The Wolverine have been tied together, with each of theme dropping an Easter egg that would lead up to a succeeding film by giving some sort of tip about a villain. That was no different in X-Men: Apocalypse where we saw a small nod to Nathaniel Essex, otherwise known to fans as Mr. Sinister. At the time it wasn’t clear if Mr. Sinister would appear in a future installment of X-Men or one of its spinoffs. The character has had run-ins with the X-Men, Wolverine, and even Deadpool before. But now it has been confirmed that the vampire-looking mutant will appear in James Mangold‘s Wolverine 3. More on the story below.

| Rumor: Fox Considering X-Men Crossover With Marvel |
 |

It took one disappointing franchise and a few leaked e-mails to find out that Sony was considering sharing Spider-Man with Marvel Studios. Though the character would remain with Sony, the eventual deal meant that the Webslinger could play in the Marvel sandbox, with a few caveats of course. But in the grand scheme of things, this would end up helping both parties as Spider-Man’s intro to the MCU turned out to be one of the best things about Captain America: Civil War, and now fans are eagerly looking forward to his next Sony movie, which will be produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige. So now as Marvel is entering Phase Three of their cinematic universe, Fox is looking towards the future for two of their own Marvel properties. However, both have produced rather disappointing results. Last year, Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four turned out to be one of the worst films of 2015, and despite Deadpool being a hit, X-Men: Apocalypse was a critical and commercial disappointment. So just as Sony hoped to turn things around with Spider-Man, there is a new rumor that says Fox may be considering the same thing with their Marvel properties, namely, X-Men. Check out the full details on the rumor below.

| Next X-Men Film Could Launch Mutants Into Space
After exploring major events through respective decades on Earth, the next X-Men film, which is said to take place during the 1990s, could take the mutant superheroes to a place where no X-Men has gone before: space. Bryan Singer, who is still on the X-Men: Apocalypse promotional tour – read our review of the film here – has talked a little bit about where the sequel could go. Given that First Class took place in the 60s, Days Of Future Past in the 70s, and Apocalypse in the 80s, obviously the 90s would be that next logical choice. But it should be interesting what major event of that decade the film decides to use to move the plot, but if what Singer says is true, then it’s quite possible that the X-Men could find themselves in the final frontier dealing and contending with a force unlike anything they have ever seen before. More on the story here below.

Release Date: May 27, 2016 “Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward.” If there’s one thing director Bryan Singer achieves with X-Men: Apocalypse, it’s channeling the excess and indulgence of the 1980s. The ninth installment in the X-Men series has too much of everything, including thinly written characters, stale end-of-the-world scenarios, and overblown CGI annihilation.
