| ‘X-Men’ Sequel Will Take Place In The 1990s
Since the release of X-Men: First Class, each installment of the X-Men film franchise has taken place in key moments in recent history. First Class took place during the Cuban Missile Crisis during the 1960s, Days Of Future Past occurred during the early 1970s, and Apocalypse will be during the 1980s. So it only seems fitting that the next X-Men film follows that theme by taking place in the 1990s, and that is what producer Simon Kinberg is confirming. More on the story here below.

| ‘Wolverine 3’ Confirmed To Be Rated R; Will Have “Western” Tone
For a long time, there has been speculation that Wolverine 3 would have an R rating, following the huge box office success of Deadpool. There were also rumors that the final installment of the Wolverine franchise starring Hugh Jackman would be inspired by the “Old Man Logan” comic book storyline. Of course seeing how The Wolverine Uncut Edition was much more well-received than its theatrical cut may have had something to do with that decision as well. Now with the X-Men: Apocalypse press tour underway, we are learning more about the future of the X-Men film franchise. In a recent interview, producer Simon Kinberg confirmed that the film will be Rated-R and hinted that the film’s plot will be inspired by “Old Man Logan” storyline. More on the story below.

| Olivia Munn On Why She Chose To Play Psylocke Instead Of Being In ‘Deadpool’
20th Century Fox’s X-Men film universe is their comic-book shared universe flagship. Two successful film franchises have come out of its success, with another one titled New Mutants, from director Josh Boone, to come. Since Deadpool‘s success at the box office, fans have expressed their interest in seeing more R-rated comic book film adaptations. Even star Ryan Reynolds wanted to see an R-rated version of the X-Force, which sees notable X-Men teammates like Deadpool, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Archangel, and Psylocke unite to take a more proactive stance against threats to mutant kind. Most of these characters will appear in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. And that brings us to Olivia Munn, who is now talking about how she turned down a role to be in Deadpool and ended up being in Apocalypse. More on the story below.

| ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer: Michael Fassbender Helps Oscar Isaac Cleanse The Earth
The world needs the X-Men, again. Fox has just released the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. Though the title heroes of Marvel have faced many mutant and human threats before, they have never faced one as powerful as the world’s first mutant, Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). Now, after awakening from a great slumber, Apocalypse has gained the powers of a god, and recruits Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and three other powerful mutants to be his Horseman to help him cleanse the Earth of humans. So it’s up to Professor Xavier’s (James McAvoy) students to stop them from succeeding. Foes are now allies and former friends believe in the gospel according to Apocalypse. This year marked the 50th Super Bowl game, and while the lead-up to this event wasn’t as exciting as last year (which, amongst other things, saw the epic charity face-off between Chris Pratt and Chris Evans, aka Star-Lord and Captain America), there was, as usual, plenty of interesting and highly anticipated Super Bowl commercials that pertained to movies and television that were aired during the Big Game as well as during the pre-Game, Halftime, and post-Game shows that we covered throughout Sunday evening. But, there’s still a lot more ad offerings that we didn’t get to post from Super Bowl 50 — which saw the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos go up against Carolina Panthers (the team Michael Oher, whose life was depicted in The Blind Side, plays for) in Santa Clara, CA, at Levi’s Stadium, which the home of the San Francisco 49ers. So we’ve collected a bunch of these Super Bowl ads here below for your enjoyment, since there was plenty of new TV and movie footage revealed, and of course, those clever and celebrity-filled product commercials. Not every commercial is included, as some didn’t pertain to our type of entertainment and some I just didn’t enjoy or care about.
