| Mutants Are Trying To Kill Us All Again In Marvel’s ‘Xtermination’ |
 |

Marvel Comics is all about the Avengers and the X-Men these days. The thing is the Avengers books have been pretty good for quite some time. That can’t be said for the X-Men books outside of Joss Whedon’s somewhat convoluted but still entertaining run on Astonishing X-Men. Lately though the Marvel Now! resets of the X books have been fairly solid books. So of course with that success, it’s time for an event! Xtermination follows Nightcrawler as he attempts to return to his home world even if it means the destruction of Earth. This event comes from creators David Lapham, Marjorie Liu, Greg Pak, and artist David Lopez and it brings together X-Men from Astonishing X-Men, Age of Apocalypse, and the ridiculously titled X-Treme X-Men. Marvel promises a major throw-down between Nightcrawler and Wolverine in this event. We have some images from Xtermination #1 set to hit brick and mortar and digital stores in March, so check them out here below.

| UPDATED! Bryan Singer Casts ‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Peter Dinklage In ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’
*Update below* We haven’t heard a whole lot of new castings for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class being directed by original X-Men movie director Bryan Singer. In fact, we haven’t heard any…not until now, anyway. All of the castings to this point have been either returning stars from First Class, or actors from the original trilogy coming back to reprise their roles. But new actors had to join the party at some point, and Singer chose a great name to kick off the newcomer castings. Singer took to the Twitter to announce that Peter Dinklage, star of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of Days of Future Past. Unfortunately, he has not yet shared who the actor will be playing.

| Bryan Singer To Shoot ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ In Native 3D
The X-Men film franchise has been through sequels, prequels, and spinoffs. It is quite a collection of films that has somehow managed to stay within its own continuity – despite some errors in the canon. Bryan Singer oversaw the direction of the first two X-Men films and executive produced the prequel X-Men: First Class. But when it was announced that Matthew Vaughn was unable to direct the next installment, Days of Future Past, Singer came back. Now the director is announcing the film’s newest direction – it will be shot in native 3D. This is pretty exciting news given the heavy criticism that converted 3D films get.

| Mark Millar Talks ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’: Kitty Pryde, Sentinels & Character Ensembles |
 |

As a creative consultant for the Marvel properties over at Fox, Mark Millar gives a very important input for the X-Men and Fantastic Four properties. One of the studio’s most highly anticipated titles – other than The Wolverine, that is – is X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class. The sequel is based on a story arc where a future Kitty Pryde is sent back to the present time to warn the X-Men about the terrible future that awaits them if they fail to save Senator Robert Kelly’s life from an assassination. Director Bryan Singer has confirmed that a majority of the cast from the First Class and the original trilogy would reprise their roles and that the film would take place 11 years after First Class. Perhaps the most important return is that of Ellen Page, who played Kitty Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand. It was her character that warns the X-Men that mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels are programmed to eliminate the mutant threat.
