The Monster Book of Manga: Steampunk

HarperCollins
Release date: February 24, 2015
There’s an old adage, still in use in this day and age, about not judging a book by its cover. It happens to be true. This writer can attest to many a dusty, worn tome that has yielded much more than he assessed at first glance on the shelves of his local library or used bookstore. The great thing about that old adage is that it applies to both sides of the coin; there are also a lot of books out there that promise much on the outside but tend to disappoint once you’ve delved deeper. | ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Legacy Trailer Looks Back At The Series
A brand new trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic epic Mad Max: Fury Road has been released by Warner Brothers. This latest preview of the fourth movie in the series by director George Miller, which also includes Mad Max, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, all starring Mel Gibson, is dubbed a “Legacy Trailer” and looks back at the past movies from 36, 33, and 30 years ago. We’ve seen plenty of trailers for the movie that have overwhelmed us with excitement, but to see these clips of the decades-old movies before getting another peek at Fury Road only adds another layer of excitement as the blues and blacks and other colors popping amongst the predominantly dusty brownish-orange hue of the newest installment really get those sensory receptors firing off nicely. Click on over to the other side to check out the Mad Max: Fury Road Legacy Trailer.

It was only a few days ago when Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren parted ways on Wonder Woman. It was not the first time that a female director left a blockbuster superhero film citing creative differences. The studio needed to act quickly to find a suitable replacement, and it didn’t take them that long to find one, as a new THR report says that Patty Jenkins has signed on as MacLaren’s replacement. More after the jump.
