Dark Horse Comics has provided Geeks of Doom with an exclusive first look at four amazing covers that are set to be released in the month of December, and one coming in February. In these comics is House of Fun (one-shot) a comic that I’ve been looking forward to for some time now, from Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dwyer. Collected in this one-shot are several entries from the House of Fun run in Dark Horse Presents including new Milk and Cheese comics and some of the most hilarious comic strips that have ever been printed. Also listed below are the comics for Michael Avon Oeming‘s The Victories #5, John Ostrander‘s Star Wars mini-series Agent of the Empire: Hard Targets #3 (of 5), the final issue of Tom Morello‘s Orchid, and the cover to the new Trigun Omnibus, which is set for February. Each one of these covers is great, and based on what I’ve previously read and the creators attached, these are all great picks for December, so make sure to get your pre-order sheets ready, because you won’t want to miss any of these comics.

Each and every week “No! No! No!” MK2Fac3 and “Lord Mackleroy” Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of August 29, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. While off at wrestling bootcamp, I learned a many things. I learned the art of the double turn, how to properly hip toss my opponents, while transitioning into the “No Lock.” Yes, I learned a lot of things, but the one think I didn’t learn was how to manage my time properly. Still working on that, but until then, let’s talk about some comic books since that’s what you’re all here for. Ladies and gentlemen, this ain’t ballet! This… is… THE GoD LIST!!!

| ‘Justice League #12’: Superman + Wonder Woman = 2Gether 4Ever! |

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 at 12:00 pm |

DC Comics announced Wednesday that longtime subjects of super power fan fiction Superman and Wonder Woman would be getting together and totally hooking up for the foreseeable future. The cover for Justice League #12, from Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, is an image of a flying Superman embraced in an aerial make out session with Wonder Woman. The relationship, seemingly born out of a tragedy that shocks the superhero team to its core, is said by series writer and DC Entertainment executive Geoff Johns to be “the new status quo.” Check out the full cover of Justice League #12, debuted at EW yesterday, here below.

Each and every week “JUDO CHOPPIN” MK2Fac3 and “KUNG FU KICKIN” Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible… theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of August 8, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. You guys, I’m so sleepy. I can’t begin to explain how tired and exhausted I am. I haven’t been able to read but a handful of comics over the past month, and honestly, it’s a little difficult to keep up with all the comics that come out each week. And you know, I’m sure some of you might be having similar problems as well. If that’s the case, then have I got good news for you! We here at Geeks of Doom provide a weekly service in which we tell you all the comics we’re looking forward to! And we’ve got some absolutely fantastic comics coming out this week. If you’re having comics problems, I feel bad for you, son. I got 99 problems, but The GoD List ain’t one.

| Exclusive: Covers For Boom! Studios’ ‘Higher Earth #7’ |
By Hunter Camp

Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 at 10:00 am |

Boom! Studios has given us the exclusive on four covers for the upcoming Higher Earth #7 by two amazing artists, Garry Brown and Frazer Irving. These four dynamic covers look to be a Cover A/Cover B sort of situation, but with a variant of each. The two full-color covers appear to be the main ones, while a black and white/gray tone variant of each is provided, one digital by Irving, and a heavily inked version by Garry Brown. I really look forward to seeing this comic on shelves, and if the covers are any indication on the interior art by Francesco Biagini and quality of the writing from Sam Humphries, I’m sure we’re all going to love it. In fact, based on the solicitation, it sounds like something I’d like to check out: After the cataclysmic events of the last issue, Heidi seeks out an unlikely ally, one with an even greater stake in the matters at hand. But is this new ally friend or foe? And what connection do they have to the highest earth of all? It’s up to Heidi to keep one step ahead of the Queen’s forces as she struggles to keep everyone she’s ever held dear safe, and more importantly, alive…
Anyway, enough talk, let’s get down to some incredible artwork that’s debuting here!
