| Marilyn Manson To Guest On ‘Eastbound & Down’? Hey, If Betty White Can Do It…
Eastbound & Down is one of the funniest shows on TV. What started as a six-episode one-and-done first season, is now preparing to premiere their second season due to popular demand. One of the fans of the show happens to be shock-rocker Marilyn Manson…and he wants to make a cameo. Manson told MTV at the season 2 premiere that he has an itch to step into the shoes of Stevie, the wildly obsessive assistant to Kenny Powers (Danny McBride). While the role of Stevie is already filled by actor Steve Little, show writer/director Jody Hill was honored by the support and interest of Manson, and was quoted saying “I’d love that. He can play Stevie’s brother.” Hill continued “Honestly, I’m honored. I saw Marilyn Manson open up for Nine Inch Nails when I was in high school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, so the fact that he’s heard of the Kenny Powers series is pretty awesome.”

| SDCC 2010: Sony Panel Shows Off ‘Priest,’ ‘The Other Guys’ & ‘Green Hornet’ |
 |

Sony was present at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, and though they didn’t show off anything exciting from their reboot of Spider-Man, they did bring plenty of goodies to present for Priest, The Good Guys, and The Green Hornet.
They began with the new adaptation of Tokyo Pop graphic novel, Priest. The movie stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Stephen Moyer, Karl Urban, and Maggie Q, who were all in attendance. The movie tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world that’s been devastated by centuries of war between humans and vampires. A priest (Bettany), who fought in the last big war, comes out of hiding to track down some vampires who kidnapped his niece. The panel opened with a teaser trailer (which you can actually see below…though I’m not sure for how long). After that they go into some questions for the group. Basically just questions about what drew them to the film and and Bettany re-teaming with director Scott Stewart (Legion) and such. Be sure to click over and check out the teaser while it still works!

| ‘The Boys’ Finds A Director In Adam McKay? |

Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson‘s The Boys comic put out by Dynamite, which is scheduled for a big screen release in 2011, might have a director. While it was originally reported by Collider that Samuel Bayer wanted to adapt the comic, they are now reporting that they have two sources that say that Adam McKay is in talks with Sony Pictures about directing the film.
Will this be a good move considering McKay’s previous work? Anchorman and the upcoming The Other Guys being a completely different style of film it will definitely make an interesting experiment. The Boys will definitely be a departure for him, but McKay has made it known that he has wanted to get his hands on a comic book movie for quite a while now. It is also immensely intriguing that McKay would choose such a polarizing comic book to start with. The Boys is more of a deconstruction of superheroes than a normal comics story.
