| ‘Oldboy’ Actress Joins ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’; Matthew McConaughey Turns Down Villain Role
With sequels comes new additions. It just comes with the territory. While the Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel are locked in to reprise their “a-hole” roles, with Karen Gillan back as nefarious daughter of the Mad Titan otherwise known as Thanos, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is starting to cast new faces for the upcoming space opera sequel. A new report says that Pom Klementieff (Oldboy) has signed off to appear in the film, while Matthew McConaughey has turned down the chance to appear in the sequel, leaving director James Gunn to look elsewhere. | Netflix’s ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Making Of Video
Netflix has released another preview for Wet Hot American Summer: The First Day of Camp, the limited prequel series based on the 2001 cult hit comedy Wet Hot American Summer. All eight episodes of the series will be released on Netflix this Friday, July 31st. The new preview is a behind the scenes making of video with many of the cast and crew, which includes Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter, talking about working on the series and, for many of them, returning to the roles they played about 15 years ago now. | ‘Joy’ Trailer: Jennifer Lawrence Faces The World Of Unforgiving Commerce
David O. Russell‘s Joy brings reunites Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro, for as the director would describe in an interview with EW, “an epic, unexpected story about the interior life of one woman’s soul, from the ages of 10 to 40.” This isn’t the first time that the four have worked together on one project. They previously teamed up for the Oscar-nominated Silver Linings Playbook, for which all them earned Academy Award nominations. So expect that same level of performance and directorial effort to be in this latest film. Though initially just a teaser, we get to see the scope of what O. Russell will give us this winter holiday. | ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp’ Trailer: “Introducing Jon Hamm”
Netflix has just released the latest trailer for their new upcoming limited series comedy Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp. The eight episode series run takes place before the events of the 2001 cult film. Director and co-writer David Wain made a point of having the actors play younger versions of themselves in the series despite most of them being fortysomething year-olds. Can’t be sure what’s funnier, that notion or just the amount of hilarity that is seen in the trailer alone. So check it out below.
