| ‘Shrek Forever After’ Scribe Darren Lemke To Write ‘Goosebumps’ Movie
Remember Goosebumps, the series of horror books aimed at youths and written by author R.L. Stine? The books were mostly popular in the ’90s but still continue to be made in one form or another to this day. As it turns out, Columbia Pictures acquired the rights to about 50 of Stine’s works back in 2008 and has been developing a feature adaptation of the books since then. And now they’ve found a writer for the job—it’s being reported that Darren Lemke, who wrote the scripts for Shrek Forever After and the upcoming Bryan Singer fantasy adventure, Jack the Giant Killer, has been brought in to adapt Goosebumps into script form.

| Watch Now: ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ 8-Minute Trailer
Columbia Pictures has released an even longer trailer for the upcoming David Fincher film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which you can watch here below. The 8-minute trailer was first made available last week at iTunes when the soundtrack went up for pre-order. Despite being more than three times longer than the average trailer, the extended scenes presented in this trailer (complete with an original score composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross) have a nice, orderly flow to them and don’t reveal too much of the story.

| SDCC 2011: ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Panel, Footage Description & Video Of Andrew Garfield Surprise |
 |

Unfortunately for The Amazing Spider–Man, their trailer leaked a tad early, leading Columbia Pictures to just release it for all to see (unfortunately for them, maybe, but good for those of us excited about the movie!). Surely if the trailer hadn’t have leaked they could have wowed everyone at Comic–Con with it before releasing it, but they still were sure to bring a little something extra to show off. The panel kicked off with said trailer, this time in 3D to add a little bit new to the mix, before someone dressed in a low–budget Spider–Man costume came up to the microphone going on about how excited they were to be there. After a bit, the person removes their mask to reveal that it’s the new Spidey himself, Andrew Garfield, who then talks about how much the superhero means to him and how much it changed his life growing up. Garfield then introduced the rest of the panel””his co–star and female lead, Emma Stone, director Marc Webb, and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach“”before removing the costume and joining them. Co–star Rhys Ifans was the surprise guest later in the panel. Keep reading for new footage descriptions and to check out some pictures from the panel. You can also see a video of Garfield’s speech after he revealed himself as the costumed fan!
