| SDCC 2015: DC’s ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ (Video)
Marvel has dominated the entertainment world in the past decade with it’s MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), including blockbusters like the Avengers films and Guardians of the Galaxy, while DC has been a distant also-ran. But this year at SDCC, DC is building serious momentum for a run at toppling Marvel on top the comics foodchain. Kind of appropriate that the middle letters of SDCC are “DC” as we saw the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, footage of the Suicide Squad, and panels for their three hit TV shows, Gotham, Arrow and The Flash… did I say three… soon to be four as Arrow and Flash characters will spinoff into DC’s Legends of Tomorrow debuting in 2016. | SDCC 2014: New Photo Of Ben Affleck As Batman From ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Batman and the upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC Entertainment has created a montage wall at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con featuring pictures old and new of the Dark Knight. On said wall there now exists a brand new one photo revealed specifically for this event. It’s a profile shot of Ben Affleck from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the newest incarnation of the classic cowl we all know and love. The matte black of the mask and the unshaven chin give this Caped Crusader a very grisly look, reminiscent of some of Frank Miller’s darker renderings. Looking a bit worn around the edges, I’m beginning to think Affleck might do well in his role. Time will tell. No doubt there will be more movie news as SDCC 2014 continues. But until then, check this new photo out here below.
