In what was expected to be an announcement tomorrow, has come earlier, as it has been confirmed that for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Game Of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie will be playing Captain Phasma, the Chrome Stormtrooper who has been seen in leaked images and the most recent trailer. The news follows confirmation that Adam Driver is Kylo Ren, the villain who wields a red crossguard lightsaber, and Lupita Nyong’o is Maz Kanata. | Hulu Adaptation Of Stephen King’s ’11/22/63′ Signs Director, New Cast
Kevin McDonald has been signed on to direct the first two episodes of the 9-episode Hulu series, 11/22/63, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. McDonald’s creds include The Last King of Scotland and State of Play. He will join writer Bridget Carpenter and executive producers King and J.J. Abrams. New actors joining the cast of the show have also been announced in Chris Cooper and Cherry Jones, joining James Franco, who is already signed on to play lead Jake Epping.

It’s being reported that Pacific Rim and Luther star Idris Elba has entered into negotiations to play the villain in the upcoming Star Trek 3.
