| Geek Peek: First ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Images Reveal A Bright Colorful World Outside The MCU
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has proven to be quite expansive as it has taken audiences to unheard of realms and unseen galaxies. That has always been what makes the MCU so much fun. Each and very film fits into its own genre while also being a part of a larger superhero universe. So we will get another taste of that in Thor: Ragnarok. A new set of images for the upcoming film has been released giving us our first look at what is to come with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) now having to fight in the gladiator arena while Hela (Cate Blanchett) devises a nefarious plan that could kill all life. We are also getting our first look at Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie as well as Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster. Check out the image gallery here below.

The Russo Brothers are in the midst of simultaneously shooting both Avengers: Infinity War and the tentatively titled Avengers 4. Not counting the marketing budget, the films’ combined production budget is, without a question, very high, considering that it touts one of the biggest ensemble casts anyone has ever seen. Now a new report seems to confirm that notion, as the production budget reportedly goes as high as $1 billion. Yes, that’s with a B. No. There is no nefarious Doctor Evil laugh. More on the story below.

| Watch Now: ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Unleashes Its Final and Best Trailer
Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The trailer was shown during tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and it is just as funny and exciting as you would expect (maybe more). You can check it out here below. In previous trailers director James Gunn has purposely held back revealing too much of the film’s story, instead focusing on our heroes’ bickering in the heat of battle. There were weird space beasts, dazzling battles, and Rocket Raccoon trying to keep Baby Groot from activating an atomic bomb. Priceless stuff, but fans have long clamored for more Guardians goodness. Tonight we got it, and then some.

Release date: February 28, 2017 Back in November, I got to see Marvel’s Doctor Strange at a special advanced Dolby Cinema screening. I have to say, that was an incredible way to see a film like this. But as I left the theater blown away by both the film and the theatrical experience, I was like, “I can’t wait to watch this again in Blu-ray.” Then I sent an email to the other GoD writers saying, “No one dare even think of requesting Doctor Strange, that one is mine!” So, basically, after one viewing I loved the movie and already knew I’d be excited to watch it on Blu-ray in the comfort of my own home, and to also check out the bonus features. And here we are, several months later with me now in possession of a “Cinematic Universe Edition” Blu-ray review copy, complete with lenticular cover insert, after having left no one else on staff standing. (Yes, I’m a brutal conquerer and dictator!) Right away, I was like, there’d better be feature-length audio commentary on this thing! And, yes, director Scott Derrickson did provide this for the Blu-ray Edition, so he’s safe.
