| ‘Mortal Kombat’ Film Casts Scorpion, Sonya Blade, Shang Tsung, and Kano
The new film adaptation of the popular fighting game series Mortal Kombat will be adding even more characters to its roster. Following the castings of Joe Taslim (The Raid) as cryomancer ninja Sub-Zero, Ludi Lin (Black Mirror) as the Shaolin warrior Liu Kang, Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl) as the steel-armed Jax, Tadanobu Asano (Thor: Ragnarok) as the thunder god Raiden, and Sisi Stringer as the deadly Mileena, comes some new players. According to new reports, Chin Han (The Dark Knight), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine, Avengers: Endgame), Jessica McNamee (The Meg), Josh Lawson (Superstore), and Lewis Tan (Deadpool 2) will all be playing fighters who join the deadly tournament. | Taika Waititi Joining James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’
Actors jumping between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe isn’t anything out of the ordinary. In fact, it happens at the creative level as well, with James Gunn being one of the most recent directors to helm titles in both universes. Now, another filmmaker and actor has joined him, but just for a starring role. Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is said to be joining the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy director Gunn’s DC project The Suicide Squad, where he will appear alongside the likes of returning stars from the first movie such as Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis. Fellow newcomers to the cast include Idris Elba, Nathan Fillion, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, Flula Borg, and Steve Agee. More on the report below.

| ‘The Matrix 4’ Becomes A Reality With Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Lana Wachowski Returning
The Matrix is still hailed as one of the best sci-fi actioners of all time, and its overwhelmingly huge success would eventually lead to two more sequels: The Matrix Revolutions and The Matrix Revelations – both of which paled in comparison to the original but were still just as successful. Fans hoped that the stories would continue on in a fourth installment. Especially since the final Matrix film had an open-ended conclusion. | ‘IT Chapter Two’ TV Spot “Missed You” Released By Warner Bros.
The final trailer for IT Chapter Two was released last month, but Warner Bros. is continuing to promote the second part of New Line’s adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name with things like an IMAX poster to mark the launch of ticket pre-sale and a “Coming Home” featurette.
