| ‘Gigantic’: Disney Shuts Down Animated ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ Movie
Back in 2015 Disney announced a new animated project titled Gigantic. The movie was to be based on the Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale, and had Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, and Captain Marvel writer Meg LeFauve and Nathan Greno (Tangled) attached to direct. It even had a 2020 release date locked in. But while Disney has a strong track record of releasing hit movies, sometimes the things they’re developing don’t work out the way they hoped. And with that, sadly, it’s been revealed that Disney has decided to shut down development on Gigantic.

| New ‘Halloween’ To Ignore All Previous Movies Except Original |

The latest Halloween movie has taken some interesting twists and turns since we’ve known about it. First we found out that the legendary John Carpenter himself, who directed the original and hasn’t been involved with the franchise since Halloween III: Season of the Witch over three decades ago, would be helping to create this new movie. After that came the slightly confusing, yet intriguing decision to hire David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, the duo who previously worked together on Pineapple Express, Your Highness, Eastbound & Down, and Vice Principals, to make the movie. More recently, there was even more exciting news for fans of the franchise: Jamie Lee Curtis will be returning to Haddonfield once again. And this time she’ll be joined by Judy Greer, who will be playing her daughter. Now Carpenter himself has another interesting twist for us. He’s revealed that the newest movie will completely ignore every other entry in the franchise except the original. See what he had to say below.

Featurettes are a nice piece of marketing material that goes behind the scenes of your favorite films. And for Justice League, we are getting a look at the newest superhero ensemble and the person that helped bring them all together. In what will probably the first of many, this featurette takes a look at the dynamics between members of the team, their motivation, history, and more. While there is not a whole lot of new footage to look at, it’s great to see that the cast has some chemistry with each other. Because they’ll need that with all the mixed reactions the trailers have been getting. Check out the latest Justice League featurette below.

This past weekend Ash vs Evil Dead took over New York Comic-Con. The Starz series, which will be heading into its third season in February, had a fan experience that was set up outside the Javits Center the entire 4 days, allowing fans to walk through a replica set and create GIFs of themselves fighting deadites. On Saturday, the show’s stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere, and conducted a panel discussion and Q&A, before heading back to the main convention center to sign autographs and taking photos with fans. During the convention, I got to speak to the cast members of the series about their experiences on the upcoming season. Arielle Carver-O’Neill and Lindsay Farris are the two “newbies” on the show. Both native Aussies, Carver-O’Neill plays Brandy Barr, daughter of Candy Barr (Yep) and Ash (yes, she’s Ash’s daughter!), while Farris is Dalton, a descendant of the Knights of Sumeria who joins the Ghost Beaters and holds Ash in hero-worship. Check out what they had to say during the press event.
