| Sony Hacking Trouble Reveals Attempt To Share Spider-Man With Marvel and More
In the wake of the recent hack at Sony, four of the studio’s upcoming films have already been uploaded to various sharing sites, salaries have been revealed, employees have expressed how they feel about some of the films that are being produced, social security numbers have been leaked, and numerous threats have been made towards employees. While the studio is attempting to get a handle of the situation, it is clear that a lot of damage has been done. As Sony moves forward, it’s likely we’ll learn what kinds of things were leaked. The Wall Street Journal has done some digging, and have found as a result of the leaks that Sony has had discussions with Marvel about sharing Spider-Man, and that there have been talks with The Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller about an animated comedy.

| Everything Is Darkness! ‘Lego Batman’ Movie Gets Green Light For 2017 Release
Released early in the year to terrific box office and overwhelmingly positive reviews, The Lego Movie was one of the funniest and most imaginative (and often subversive) animated features released by a major studio in years. Its success has spawned a Lego-based movie franchise, with Ninjago set to open in September 2016 and the recent revelation that Warner Bros. is fast-tracking a Lego Batman film based one of the first movie’s greatest assets for a release in 2017. Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will return as producers, with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter author Seth Grahame-Smith writing the script and Lego Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay directing the feature.

| Sony Pictures Sets Writer For ’23 Jump Street’
Sony Pictures is moving forward with 23 Jump Street, a sequel to 21 Jump Street and the recent 22 Jump Street, both of which starred Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Sony has locked up Rodney Rothman to pen the trilogy-maker, which is expected to see Hill and Tatum return. Rothman worked on the 22 Jump Street script, and was recently reported to be involved in a planned Greatest American Hero reboot.
