| Netflix’s Marvel Shows Can’t Appear On Disney+ For Two Years
The wave of Marvel shows being canceled by Netflix was alarming but not surprising, especially since Disney is launching their own streaming service, Disney+, in 2019. Most believed that Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and presumably The Punisher and Jessica Jones would just migrate over to their new home. Which makes sense. They would join the Scarlet Witch, Loki, Winter Soldier, and Falcon shows that are being launched. However, there is a clause that prevents these shows from appearing on Disney+ until 2020. | ‘The Mandalorian:’ Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Giancarlo Esposito, More Join ‘Star Wars’ Bounty Hunter Series
Rumors surrounding the casting of Disney+’s The Mandalorian, the studio’s first live-action Star Wars series, have been circulating for the past few weeks. Pedro Pascal was named as the titular lone gunfighter who “travels to the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.” And now, there is confirmation. Lucasfilm has confirmed that Pascal will be playing as that lone gunfighter. And he won’t be alone. He will be joined by the already confirmed Gina Carano (Deadpool) and Nick Nolte (Affliction). Additionally, Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), and Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) will be joining the cast as well. More on the report, below.

| Disney’s Streaming Service To Be Called Disney+; 2nd ‘Star Wars’ Series and Loki Series Confirmed
Disney’s all new streaming platform hasn’t even launched yet and it is still making huge announcements. The service, which was tentatively titled Disney Play but will now go by Disney+, was formally announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger during a live audio webcast of Disney’s fiscal full year and fourth quarter 2018 financial results. During the event he confirmed a second Star Wars series that will follow Cassian Andor, Diego Luna‘s character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and a Loki series starring Tom Hiddleston. | Jon Favreau’s ‘Star Wars’ TV Series Titled ‘The Mandalorian’
The rumor surrounding Jon Favreau‘s Star Wars TV show was that it would center on the Mandalorian race. And now a new Instagram post confirms those rumors. An image posted by Favreau reveals that the title of the show will simply be The Mandalorian, and it follows “the travels of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.” More on the story below.
