| The GoD List: Comics For June 20, 2012 |
 |

Each and every week “Americana Assassin” MK2Fac3 and “Midwest Marauder” Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of June 20, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. Whhaaaaat?!!? You remember me, right? Well, I apologize for the lack of fac3 (faceless?) time on these here websites. A lot has changed recently and Tuesdays and Wednesdays have become even busier for me recently, what with the new job and all… (pausing for congratulatory high fives), so I’ve been away for like a week or something and some have said that I phoned in the previous week’s, but to those people (HENCHMAN!!!), I say this, “I’m back, BABAY!” And there have been some truly amazing comic books over the last few weeks. Did you guys read Creator Owned Heroes? I may be jumping the gun a little bit since it’s only been one issue, but I honestly think it could be a game changer. And while this week may not be jam packed full of potential game-changers, there’s some really good stuff to look forward to. So, follow me past the break, so that we can talk about all the great comics that are coming out this week. This is The GoD List, after all.

| The GoD List: Comics For May 30, 2012 |
 |

Each and every week “Yes! Yes! Yes!“ MK2Fac3 and “What’s Wrong With MK2Factor3?“ Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of May 30, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that this week is the fifth week of the month, and it’s the Wednesday after a holiday here in the United States. These factoids typically add up to the fact that there just aren’t going to be that many comics in your local stores this week. And while there won’t be too many single issues, there are some high profile issues, as well as plenty of great new collections coming out this week. Now, if you haven’t been following this list for the last couple of decades, we’ll also be having a section of this week’s The GoD List that also shines a nice light on some comics that you can check out that you may have missed… since, you know, the light week and all. With all of this information, please continue as we provide you with all the information that you need to be armed with when you step inside your local comic book shop (or online retailer).

| DC Direct Becomes DC Collectibles; Expands Online Offers
DC Entertainment announced on Wednesday that it would be altering its DC Direct action figure and collectibles line by rebranding as DC Collectibles. DC Collectibles is doing a lot to expand its online presence most importantly by offering all of its products online through their official website, which launches in May. One reason why this is significant is that in its prior incarnation, DC Direct offered nothing as far as purchasing on the site. Customers were either to be redirected to separate sites, or given a list of retailers that carried DC Direct statues and action figures.

| DC ReRelaunch: DC Comics Announces ‘New New 52’ |
 |

In a desperate attempt that’s sure to surprise everyone in the comic book community, DC Comics is planning a RE-relaunch of their entire line of comic books to boost sales and appeal to new readers with The New New 52. The breaking news came not at this weekend’s popular Northwest convention Emerald City Comic Con, which DC decided to skip altogether, but rather from flyers handed out by costumed superheroes today, April 1, 2012, at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ, to confused attendees of the Tony Robbins Unleash The Power Within seminar. And I’ve got to say that I’m utterly shocked by this recent turn events. Yes, it seems that the sales that were being reported on DC’s recent relaunch on their entire line of comics was not as spectacular as we all thought, as they’re going back to the well one more time and introducing a new line up of comics, and you may be surprised by the results as the comic titles released are not what any of us would have expected to see. In fact, most of the superhero comics are long gone and replaced with several unknown titles that are made to appeal to separate groups of the non-comics reading public. Sure, the mainstays are here, but that’s about it. So, are you ready to check out the new list that will be debuting in July? I hope you’re sitting down.
