Louie
Season 5 Episode 4 “Bobby’s House”
Directed by Louis C.K.
Teleplay by Louis C.K.
Created by Louis C.K.
Starring Louis C.K., Pamela Adlon, Hadley Delany, Ursula Parker, Susan Kelechi Watson, Robert Kelly
FX
Air Date: Thursday, April 30th, 2015, 10:30pm Last week’s Louie gave us the always welcome gift of guest star Michael Rapaport. This week we get the return of Robert Kelly. Awesome two weeks! Definitely a couple of spoilers below! Louie 5.4 “Bobby’s House” is a classic Louie episode, filled with awkward silence, utter humiliation, and laughter at Louie’s pain. Louie (Louis C.K.) gets a call from his brother Bobby asking if he’s going to their uncle’s wake. Louie did not know about it – with good reason. Their uncle did not die, and they ended up at the wrong funeral. They are so far in, they can’t back out of it, so they pay their respects. Funny – Bobby goes to kneel and make the sign of the cross at the stranger’s funeral. Is it weird to find a funeral scene funny?

| TV Review: iZombie 1.7 “Maternity Liv”
iZombie
Season 1 Episode 7: “Maternity Liv”
Directed by Patrick Norris
Written by Bob Dearden
Created by Rob Thomas
Starring Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders
The CW
Air Date: Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, 9:00pm Last week’s iZombie was really disgusting for Liv (Rose McIver). She had to eat old dead brain. I don’t mean old, as in age of person. I mean old, like left out of the fridge too long. The body was undiscovered for a while because the guy was a recluse. Worse – an internet trolling recluse. And it looked like an allergic reaction, so Liv was almost off the hook. But no. Turns out it was a cleverly concealed allergen delivered right to him. They never would have found that out if it weren’t for Liv’s “psychic” visions. Jackie can’t control her zombie-ness, so Blaine (David Anders) has to end her. Oh and scary! Liv’s mom might have gotten her baby brother a job at Blaine’s!

Air Date: Wednesday, April 29th, 2015, 8:00pm The review of Arrow 3.21 “Al Sah-Him” is coming right up. But first, a little (or a lot) recap of last week. Spoilers! Thea (Willa Holland) is pretty much dead. Oliver (Stephen Amell) is beaten. He brings her to Nanda Parbat, to accept Ra’s al Ghul’s (Matt Nable) offer, in exchange for resurrecting her in the Lazarus Pit. Felicity, Diggle, and Malcolm (Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, and John Barrowman) go with him. Thea leaps out acting crazy – loving towards Malcolm, not recognizing Ollie, thinking her mom is alive. Felicity and Oliver finally do it! But then they have to leave him there. Felicity tries one last ditch effort to get him out of there, but it is an epic fail.

| ‘Batman v Superman’: Batman Character Poster Sans Superman Logo Released
Almost two weeks ago, director Zack Snyder tweeted out two character posters for a special Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice IMAX event. They featured both the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight’s faces obscured by each other’s character logos with the year 2016 right dead in the center. A variant of the Batman character poster has been released that gives us our first clear look at Ben Affleck decked out in the classic cape and cowl of Gotham’s nocturnal vigilante. You can check it out here below.

The Art of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
Written by Tim & Steve Seeley with James Eatock
Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: April 28, 2015
Cover Price: $39.99
The Art of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is, at its core, a love letter to the best toy franchise in the history of the world. Yes, I am a HUGE He-Man fan, and yes, I’m biased. But, at the very least, you have to respect a toy line that didn’t come from another medium, took on a life of it’s own, and made literally BILLIONS of dollars for the Mattel toy company and has continued on, in one form or another, to this very day.
